The Doctor
I, astray, pray for prey
All these messages, I convey
Impunity, I’m immune with those laws
As she saw sharp edged saws
My scalpels gleam
I slowly peeled her skin from her limb
Helplessly, she cried out again
Over and over again and again
Human
body is just like a toy for me
Just a
place to express my satisfaction
Blood,
scream, pain is my
pleasure for me
That is the real of happines conception
Soak her in vinegar liquid
Scream.. Enjoy her scream, it’s so satisfying
Her skinless body swallows the acid
As her body collapse and dying
I've become an image of myself
I've become a shadow of myself
Phlegmatic sociopath surgeon
Half demonic’ spirit resurgence
Meaning :
I wrote this poem
because it was inspired by a film I've seen. This film is about the life of a
surgeon. Told that the surgeon had a mental disorder. In contrast to doctors in
general who have a duty to treat sick patients. However, in this poem, it is
said that the surgeon loves to torture his patients when he performs surgery.
This surgeon is a psychopath. He likes to torture his patients until their
patients feel pain and eventually die. The surgeon's actions were clearly in
violation of applicable law. But in the film, it is told that the surgeon is a
person above the law. He can not be sentenced to severe punishment for his
actions. This surgeon also really likes what he does. It was as if the
surgeon's soul had been controlled by the devil. So the action taken by this
doctor is on the power of the devil. The surgeon could not stop his bad
actions. There have been many victims of the cruelty of a surgeon who is also
controlled by this demonic power.
Purpose :
The purpose of making this poem is to provide a moral value to the
readers. If the reader really understands the content of the poem that I made,
the reader will know and be able to conclude the message contained in this
poem. This poem contains elements of the value of life. It was explained that
the surgeon's actions were bad actions and violated the law. Although it is
told that the surgeon is immune to applicable laws, we must not imitate his
actions. We should not be arbitrary even though we have a right. If that right
is something that violates, we still can't do it. So the purpose of this poem I
made so that readers can understand the moral values contained in the poem. Can
analyze what values exist and can apply them in everyday life
Figurative Languages :
There
are some figurative language that writer used in this poem, such as :
1. Personification
“Her skinless body swallows the acid”
“As her body
collapse and dying”
In the two lines above, there is an application of figurative language that is personification. Personification is giving human characteristics to inanimate objects, ideas, or animals. Therefore in the first line it is stated that "Her skinless body swallows the acid". As we know the skin cannot swallow anything. In this line of text, the skin is like skin that absorbs or swallows acid. And in the second line it is stated that "As her body collapses and dying". In this line of poetry, the body is likened to collapsing even though the word cannot be juxtaposed with it. However, because of the use of personification figure of speech, it is commonplace.
2. Simile
“Human body is just like a toy for me”
The lines above is an application of figurative language, that is simile. Simile has the meaning comparison between two usually unrelated things using the word “like” or “ as ”. The line of the poem states that "Human body is just like a toy for me". In the sentence it shows that the sentence contains simile figure of speech by using the word "like" which is a characteristic of simile figure of speech.
3. Hyperbole
“Over and over again and again”
The line of poetry above
contain one of the figurative language, which is hyperbole. Hyperbole has
the meaning an exaggeration for the sake of emphasis. The word "Over
and over again and again" has the meaning of exaggerating an action that
occurred in the previous sentence.
4. Metaphor
“As she saw sharp edged saws”
“Phlegmatic sociopath surgeon”
“Half demonic’ spirit resurgence”
The three lines of poetry above contain one of the figurative language, which is metaphor. A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes an object or action in a way that isn't literally true, but helps explain an idea or make a comparison. The writing says the atrocities committed by the surgeon are likened to the cruel nature of a demon.
5. Irony
“I, astray, pray for prey”
“All these messages, I convey”
The two lines of poetry above
contain the one the figurative language, which is Irony. Irony takes many forms. Most basically, irony is a figure
of speech in which actual intent is expressed through words that carry the
opposite meaning The doctor here was a perverted
person. But he still convey the messages that he got.
Sound Devices
1. Rhyme
Rhyme is the repetition of identical or similar
terminal sound combinations or words. Rhyming words are generally placed at a
regular distance from each other. There are several types of rhyme that
used in this poem. There are 2 verses that used rhyme in this poem such as in
the second verse, in the third verse, and in the fourth verse. In the first,
second, and fourth verses the consonant ending which sounds aa bb to emphasize
silabel on each row.
2. Onomatopoeia
Onomatopoeia
is words that spell out sounds; words that sound like what they mean. In this
poem there are one onomatopoeia that use. That onomatopoeia used in the fourth,
the Onomatopoeia
that use in this poetry is Scream.
3. Repetition
“I've become an image of myself”
“I've become a shadow of myself”
Repetition consists of
repeating a word, phrase, or sentence, and is common in both poetry and prose.
It is a rhetorical technique to add emphasis, unity, and/or power. In the two lines of the poem
there are repetitions of the same words and only the words "image"
and "shadow" differ only.
